CBU Is Crazy

I just finished the Spring semester at CBU and yet they are still asking me to apply to their school. They are pushy! I am (or almost am) a Senior and they still have me on the college application e-mail list. lol.

Kevin, your future is approaching fast with less than four months before CBU's fall 2009 semester begins.

But don't worry (too much) ... you still have time to apply!

To get started, simply fill out our online application (select the "Undergraduate Daytime Traditional link) and your friendly CBU admissions counselor will do the rest.

Or, if you would like to speak with an admissions counselor now, call (866) 7676-CBU or send a note to admissions@calbaptist.edu

Want to find out more about CBU? Take an online guided tour or go to CBU TV to access a library of videos.

Thank you for your time ... have a blessed summer!

Birds, Snakes, and Trashcans...Oh My!

As some of you know, I help run a recycling program at my work where I take a few students out to the lunch area to collect plastic bottles. We turn in all of our bottles and spend the money for things in the classroom and for field trips, like going to Disneyland. We are able to raise quite a lot of money!

Anyways...I was digging through a trashcan with my "claws" and look what I found....

Yup, I found a dead bird and a dead snake. The snake was fried to a crisp and was like a centimeter thick! Maybe the bird killed the snake and died from it's venom? lol j/k.

I just thought I would share my random discoveries at work...crazy/random huh? The snake has actually been in the same trash can since Monday! You would think that they would take the trash out, especially since there is a dead snake in it, lol.

I'm an Artist

This past week I finished my art project. I did it while I was with Phil during his third period art class. Of course, I don't get a grade on my project, but it would be an A! Since Allison has been posting pictures all of her art projects for school, I thought I would post mine!

Kung Fu Panda is sweet!

So, am I a pro or what???????

Failed 771 Times

Wow, now this is crazy. I saw on Yahoo News that this 68 year old lady in South Korea has failed her driving test 771 times. Since 2005, she has taken the test nearly every single working day and failed. This is incredible. If she ever passes, maybe she will have a bumper sticker on her car that says, "Never give up, never surrender." I think I probably would have stopped taking the test after I failed it 400 times, but she obviously has perseverance! This must be a world record.

It's Almost Like Stealing

So out of nowhere my brother was like, "Yo KC, lets go to Sports Chalet. They have a sale." So I agreed to roll with him. And well, I got some deals:

New Balance Fitness shoes - $85.00 - I got them for $5.00 (I am giving these to Michelle's dad).

Born casual shoes - $75.00 - I got them for $10.00 (Nice leather, they smell good!)

Salomon hiking shoes - $85.00 - I got them for $2.50 (that's like 97% off!).

Total retail cost: $245
What I paid: $17.50
Getting ridiculous deals: priceless (well not literally, but almost!).

2 in 1

Two random things in one blog!

I received this e-mail from the online traffic school that I went to in order to clear up a ticket. I thought it was really funny:

Dear Kevin,

The holidays are a special time of year for everybody... Especially law enforcement!

While you're enjoying spending time with loved ones, the police are out in full force making sure that our roadways are safe. Unfortunately, they're also handing out tickets more often than at any other time of year.
If you're one of the unlucky many who happens to get a ticket this holiday season, don't worry GoToTrafficSchool has got you covered!
Enter special discount code HOLIDAY during your online registration and get $2 off our already low priced course.

haha, Merry Christmas, and just in case you get a ticket, here is $2 off. lol

Also, I went to Chick-fil-A today and used a coupon, and they were so nice to give me a free coupon for a milkshake! Sweet! I have used so many free coupons at Chick-fil-A it is almost ridiculous, lol. Gotta support them, they always hook it up!

Webcam

As part of Michelle's crazy laptop package, I got a webcam! Pretty cool yo. Now I can be like all you Mac people, even if it isn't as good. It was free! Like my new headband? It rocks.

Also, check out the first video that I made on Michelle's laptop:

Be Ye Kind

My experience at CBU hasn't necessarily been the best due to transfer problems, bad professors, and discrimination against me participating in certain events because I am in the DCP (Degree Completion Program). Although, they do have a wonderful cafeteria!

BUT my favorite experience has to be every time I go to the bathroom...this sign makes me laugh every time!
